I mean we’ll see but unlike other hearing aids, it’s highly visible and you don’t get full day battery life. I do hope it spurs better audio quality though because all of the big names have atrocious quality. But perhaps that’s a space and battery limitation.

I post this here because the legalization of over-the-counter hearing aids is a genuine [neoliberal success story](https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/08/16/fda-hearing-aids-biden/).

These AirPods aren’t new, [they came out in 2022](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPods_Pro#Second_generation), but this *is* a new software update for the model.
