It’s kinda funny in a cosmic sort of way because there were a lot of conspiracies that the West would give Ukraine just enough to hold on but not enough to win in order to bleed out the Russians as much as possible (at the obvious expense of the Ukrainians). While I don’t think it’s necessarily true per se, it’s de facto policy given the slow deliveries, slow introduction of new systems and relatively low quantity of aid provided (dozens of Bradley’s for an army of hundreds of thousands isn’t exactly optimal) is just enough for Ukraine to hold on but not enough to really win. Not quickly at least

People hate to hear it, but this is one of the benefits of a President J. Trump. Trump was absolutely willing to destroy the entirety of the human race if it meant he’d have more power.
People *think* Putin would be would be rational about not destroying humanity, but no one is confident in that assumption.
If we had to explode the USA in exchange for a free Ukraine, no one currently in that position would take it. The US has the luxury of liberating countries later in history.

Ukraine is free to use their own weapons as they see fit; they don’t have to use American weapons. But if they are going to use American weapons, they abide by American rules of engagement, or they don’t get anymore weapons from us. The terms are not for them to change, but to follow.
