Had a discussion with samsung yesterday about it..they promise they're not data harvesting…just forcibly taking all your data to ' back it up ' whether you want them to or not. They said i gave comsent when i ok'ed the update but after i said ive never updated the cloud, then they switches to 'it must be a software issue..im guessing other brands are doing it too now

Ss any right to privacy we had is no more. Seems wildly illegal to me
Privacy is an illusion. In a world where your WiFi router could be used to map out your house and track you in it….
As someone that manages a large customer and tech support team, you are arguing with someone that has absolutely no information.
Have you read through all of the EULAs and Privacy Statements that we all blindly sign off on?
Doesn’t like all big companies do this and have been doing for many years

Probably works like that ^
I’m sure we all agreed to this sort of crap when we all got our first smartphones and never thought about it again. Im sure the facebook terms say they own anything you post on there or any other site.
I use custom rom. Surely can’t lose more privacy than a official chinese rom.
