This article is all about how the steelworkers are worried about their jobs and it's completely missing the point. US Steel needs this investment from Nippon in order to continue running. The steelworkers need this deal to be approved if they want to keep their jobs. The CEO said himself that mills may close if the deal will be blocked, is that not enough for you?
In the first paragraph it says 'Finally rebuilding the domestic steel industry'
Yeah, your only chance of doing that is with the investment from Nippon. Nothing will be rebuilt if the deal will be blocked. Cleveland Cliffs cannot help you.
And one more thing, the only reason the politicians are against the deal is because they want to win in Pennsylvania.
