Texas isn’t a Republican state. It’s a non-voting state. And if all of the non-voters would show up at the polls, surely they are all Democrats. They’ve just been waiting for the secret codeword to jump out and yell, “Surprise! Let’s elect a Democrat!”
Why haven’t they done this before? Gerrymandering. The presidential election is highly gerrymandered in Texas.
