Lotta proof Haitians do eat cats. No proof it goes on in Ohio but I found it interesting how against this notion the media was. 20k new immigrants in a town of 60k it doesn’t seem super unlikely you would have a few one off problems like this.
There are a few blog posts as well stating it is done, albeit not widespread. Some have stated it’s seen as a Christmas dinner type dish, ironically similar to a Christmas goose.
