US overdoses have fallen sharply in recent months, a hopeful shift in trends

I feel like at the rate overdoses are occurring, it’s simply an effect of running out of people who are likely to overdose. I remember having a conversation with my county medical examiner and he essentially admitted the same. “Numbers look better but nothing has actually improved.”
