Basically a 60/40 split in favor of Vance. About what I expected. Other surveys show a pretty even split. Ultimately don’t think it moves the needle much.

I know the conventional wisdom is VP debates barely matter but this looks to be like the final debate before the election and things are *remarkably* close. A tie is nice and all but Walz wasn’t a particularly strong debater and this is an important time to get a positive news cycle.
The fact he responded to the Hurricane segment talking about climate technologies was such a weird flop. Vance did a better job of conveying basic sympathy and it would’ve been so easy for Walz to highlight Biden’s support and the significance of infrastructure spending. North Carolina was hit quite hard and is a toss-up, his poor response matters there.

Hoping the media specifically praises how much better Vance looked than Trump so we can maybe get a Trump rage tweet directed at his own running mate lol

Walz did get the last word, and I think that’s what people will remember. Kamala’s people are already cutting ads based on Vance refusing to answer Trump lost.
