So, I guess throw your legitimate evaluation of the problem straight in the trash because my buddy who barely passed high school and struggles to hold down any jobs said it’s the immigrants fault that he’s poor and can’t afford a house.

I feel like this is end game nimbyism. You refuse to build more housing, so the problem has to be population issue. You dont want to tell people to not have kids as it goes against your beliefs, so you have to kick out the people you dont like. And its pretty telling that these people mean non whites when they mean immigrants, so its just racism and fear.
