This guy is such a loser in his foreign policy. I remember when he made a big show of taking his diplomats away from Venezuela after Maduro stole the election but then came begging to the brazillian diplomatic group to represent Argentina’s interests in their negotiations with Venezuela

Unfortunately, this is not unexpected. None of the possible candidates in US election are pro free trade. At the same time, China has a lot of Argentina debt & investments. It makes sense for Milei to do what he’s doing. If we don’t like it then we should offer him a better deal. But so far, Biden’s Latin America policy, and the Latin America policies of previous Presidents, have not really done much to try to pull these nations away from China. So we can’t be shocked or mad when impoverished Argentina goes to them for investment & trade.

The west simply does not care about south america lol. 20 years of EU-Mercosul negotiatins just for some french farmers to blow up the whole thing over nothing. Even good relations between right wing leaders like Bolsonaro and Trump never amount to anything. It’s easier to imagine RUSSIA being welcomed as an equal to the west after Puting dies, regime change or something than Brazil or Argentina at this point.
